The Art of Change.
f there is one thing that 2020 has taught us, it’s that change is inevitable, resilience is key and freedom is found within adaptability. Inspired by the great 2020 reset, nature’s evolution and a human beings capacity to acclimate, Projext discovered the key to innovative design: The art of change.
The Freedom of Fabric.
Inspired by this vision of conditional change, Projext redefines fabric as we know it by blending form with function, and replicates the beauty, feel and functionality of the most changeable and natural part of all: our skin.
Made up of complex cells and microbiomes, the skin is in a constant state of change, dynamically morphing into various versions by the second. Driven to push the edge of fashion and create something that was as comfortable and changeable as our natural form, we designed a multi-functional Tee made from WASHI paper cloth – a dynamic, top-quality, and organic material that has pores just like human skin.
Rebelling against society’s beauty standards, we believe that our bodies are designed to change, to be different and to be embraced, which is why we have created an innovative and sustainable fabric that enhances the natural form of skin. Every line and every curve. Creating freedom within our form.
form follows function
Breathable and soft to the touch with the ability to regulate moisture and temperature in multiple environments, Projext explores how fabric can be used to not only save the ecosystem of our planet but also support the unique ecosystem of our skin. Using Japan's latest patented technology, the Papier01 is a soft yet durable fabric with lightweight WASHI, rich elasticity, and strength, and can be washed thousands of times, wrinkle-free.
Fuelled by the freedom within adaptability, we ask you, how will you embrace change today?
